Emmy comes to MAHC with a deep passion for and expertise in housing policy, coalition building, and organizational development. Emmy began her career at Avesta Housing helping people find housing. In this role on the property management team, she met some of the most hardworking and dedicated community members, witnessing firsthand how stable housing can transform lives, communities, and local economies. This unique look into affordable housing as a tool for empowering individuals, building community, and driving economic growth hooked Emmy on housing for the long haul. From Avesta, she went on to pursue her Master’s in Public Administration from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, focusing her studies on housing policy and the development of housing-focused organizations. Since then, Emmy has served in various leadership and organizational roles from California to New England, all connected by a central belief: to move the needle on one of the most complex issue areas of our time, we have to work together. We are thrilled to have her collaborative spirit and expertise on the team!
