2026 Maine Housing Policy Conference – Maine Affordable Housing Coalition

Housing is the single biggest burden facing Maine’s families and working people today. As rents soar and homeownership slips further out of reach, the ripple effects are felt across every corner of our state: young workers are forced to leave, parents face impossible choices between housing and basic needs, fixed-income seniors struggle to age in place, and local business owners can’t recruit or retain the staff needed to keep their doors open.

When housing costs become unsustainable, everyone pays the price.

That’s why the Maine Affordable Housing Coalition is bringing together hundreds of housing industry leaders, researchers, advocates, policymakers, philanthropists, and community members from across the State of Maine this November 2026 for our largest convening to date. Grounded in the urgent need for relief for Maine families, older adults, workers, and business owners alike, this conference is where we turn shared challenges into scalable solutions.

PROGRAM

We have an incredible slate of speakers, moderators, and panelists prepared to forecast, analyze, and offer actionable insights that will better equip Maine’s affordable housing ecosystem to effectively and efficiently address this challenge in the months and years to come.

REGISTRATION

Pre-conference registration is required through the official 2026 Housing Policy Conference Registration page. Please note that registration will close at noon on Friday, October 30, 2026.

Attendee Registration

Note for Legislators: Sitting and elected Maine legislators are welcome to attend free of charge. Please reach out to info@mainehousingcoalition.org for help with registration.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS

We are pleased to offer continuing education credits to the following groups:

Legal Professionals: 5 CLE credits through the Maine Board of Overseers of the Bar. Forms will be available at the conference to sign off on attendance for submittal.
Architects: 5 AIA CM credits including 2 HSW credits! 3 credits for attending all the plenary sessions and two of the HSW credits for the Older Adult Housing Panel and the BABA Panel.
